Was a well known singer, composer and conductor, leader of the famous SONG group and producer of TV shows, Ioan Luchian Mihalea was born on 15th December 1951 in Ocnele Mari, Valcea County.

Ioan Luchian Mihalea graduated the Bucharest Conservatory.

In 1973, Luchian Mihalea or Oanță, as he was called by his relatives, founded the MiniSONG children’s choir, through which he guided the steps of many children towards music, including Alina Sorescu, Dana Rogoz and Gianina Corondan.

The life of Ioan Luchian Mihalea was brutally ended on 29th November 1993, when he was brutally murdered at only 42 years old.
