TVR has released the regulations for the National Selection of Eurovision Song Contest in order to choose the best act and the best performance, representing our country Romania.

The Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Turin at the venue PalaOlimpico which has a capacity of arena has a seating capacity of 14,350 when it is configured for ice hockey. The contest will start on the 10th of May 2022 which the First Semi-Final.

We are pointing down what is essential to be well known at this stage but feel free to address all your queries via email, to the email indicated below.

The registration period for the National Selection is from November 26 to December 19, 2021 (the period for sending materials by e-mail), the authors of original musical creations, this is addressed to all Romanian or foreign citizens (music and lyrics), who could represent Romania at Eurovision 2022

The songs, as well as their interpretations may not exceed 3 minutes, otherwise they will be disqualified. No more than 6 performers are allowed on stage. The age of the performer must be at least 16 years old at the latest on the date of the international final.

Contest entrants assume the mandatory and eliminatory condition that the song (music and/or text) is original, does not affect the rights held by third parties, has not been edited on any audio or video media and has not been broadcast on any radio, television or internet channel or made known to the public in any way, in full or sequentially, until September 1, 2021.

If the Reception Commission finds the submitted documentation to be incomplete, except for the audio recording, the participant is granted a maximum period of 24 hours for the submission / completion of the materials.

The pre-selection of musical pieces will take place at SRTV headquarters, on December 21 and 22, 2021. Each piece entered in the contest will be heard by a specialized Jury, consisting of 5 members.
