Ester Peony represented Romania on the 2nd semifinal of the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest held at Expo Tel-Aviv on the 16th of May 2019.

The 64th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest took place in Tel Aviv, Israel, following Israel’s victory at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song “Toy”, performed by Netta Barzilai.

This was also the first time the contest was held outside of Jerusalem when Israel was hosting.

In April 2019, was announced that “On a Sunday” would be performed 6th in the 2nd semi-final of the contest.
