Romania, Failed with ‘Goodbye’

The Eurovision Song Contest 2018 was the 63rd edition of Eurovision Song Contest. It took place in Lisbon, Portugal, following Salvador Sobral’s win at the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Ukraine with the song ‘Amar Pelos Dois’ (Love for Both of Us).

It was the first time that the contest was hosted in Portugal, 54 years after the country made its debut.

The contest organized by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and host broadcaster Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, was held at the Altice Arena and consisted of two semi-finals on the 8th and 10th of May, and the final on the 12th May 2018.

The three live shows of Eurovision Song Contest 2018 were hosted by Filomena Cautela, Sílvia Alberto, Daniela Ruah and Catarina Furtado.

Romania placed 11th on the 2nd semifinal of Eurovision Song Contest 2018  with a total of 107 points.

Romania failed to qualify for the Grand Final for the first time in their participation history, making it one of their worst results ever.
