The host country of 2014 Eurovision Song Contest was Denmark. The contest was divided into two semifinals on the 6th of May and 8th of May and Grand Final placed on the 10th of May.
The show organised in Copenhagen, all in all, spent 112 million Danish kroner; three times more than what was expected and were furthermore highly accused of cases of nepotism within the organization. The host broadcaster, DR, chose the B&W Hallerne at the host venue after considering several bids from cities and venues across Denmark.
‘Miracle’ was performed 15th by Paula Seling and Ovi on the 2nd Semi-Final. The beginning of the duo’s performance, Paula Seling is shortly superimposed as a hologram on the right side of the stage before eventually appearing by herself on the left side to join Ovi. This marked the first usage of holograms in Eurovision’s history.
Paula and Ovi finished the 2nd Semi-Final of Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in 2nd place with a total of 125 points.
Durning Grand Final Paula Seling and Ovi sang 6th in the contest and finished on the 12th position, gathering a total of 72 points.
